![]() ![]() Laurel Friday with my three children and was extremely disappointed in the experience we had for the pretty penny spent there. SOLUTION 2: Alert us with inviting signage that the areas under the water slides at the back are available for shaded seating: "Please join us this way for shade!" Folks all crowded around the interactive pool so they had no idea that these quieter, shaded areas existed, and neither did I until I spotted them through the fencing as we walked the long, hot walk back to our car.Ĭome on, management, I know you can make this place fantastic! What are people with young children supposed to do? Again, show your guests that we are welcome, not just cattle to be controlled. ![]() but those aren't available for rental on the weekend, and WOW did we need them. I know you want people to pay for cabanas. Way to make us feel unwelcome, and to limit the options for people who need to get out of the heat. PROBLEM: "30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT" signs posted in the eating areas. ![]() There is PLENTY of space to install racks and racks of these.ģ. Charge a quarter, or better, yet, NOTHING, for cubby-size combination lockers. Where are we supposed to keep our credit cards or cash while we're in the water, since we absolutely have to bring them because we HAVE to buy your food? The only lockers I could find were in the wash-house, and there we not many of them. PROBLEM: Very few, very expensive lockers. You can easily get some big coolers with umbrellas and would probably make big money from those small investments, while making guests feel like you CARE ABOUT THEIR NEEDS.Ĭome on, we KNOW you can do better and make this place AMAZING and FUN to visit.Ģ. You have one selling those stupid water squirters, which nobody needs. SOLUTION 3: Have several stands selling JUST bottled water and frozen treats scattered around the park. NOT HARD and helpful for the kitchen-management could limit the number of meals that can be ordered during each time slot to keep it easy for the kitchens. Purchase a combo for pickup at noon, 12:15, etc. SOLUTION 2: Offer food packages with TIMED prep. That way people who really want to wait for a pizza can, while the rest of us can at least get a drink in less than 90 minutes! YES, EVEN BOTTLED WATER TOOK THAT LONG. SOLUTION 1: Create separate lines for drinks, for cold food, and for longer-cooking food. and dumb to make everyone wait, whether they want pizza or not. There was only one line for all food offerings, and the orders for burgers, pizza and wings held everything up. Major problem on a hot day that we couldn't get a cold drink or any food after NINETY MINUTES in line. PROBLEM: NO outside food OR WATER allowed in. Here's what I noticed, and how management can fix it:ġ. You'll at least have FOOD and a good spot to leave your stuff. If you have a group of more than 4, splurge for the cabana and plan to spend the whole day to get your money's worth. Buy your tickets online for the eeny-weeny savings of a few dollars and tiny time savings of waiting in the shorter line for web purchasers.ĥ. So go all the way around! You won't have to walk so far in the heat, and can drive right out when you're done.Ĥ. You can see it when you first drive in but because of the one-way, you can't turn right to drive to it. Drive ALL the way around-it's one-way-to the OTHER side of the parking lot and park near the ADDITIONAL entrance. Don't bother trying to find a parking spot when you first drive in. Not sure whether they allow re-entry but I couldn't spend more than 3 hours there.ģ. Pack a cooler with snacks and ice packs to leave in your car so you can eat when you get out. I will come back but will prepare much better:ġ. It was definitely well-maintained and a cool setup with fun stuff to do, but wow, the attitude. Because WOW, management, you could do SO much better without too much more work!!! I felt like management was protecting THEIR interests, NOT trying to help people have a safe, fun time. Place was mobbed, as expected, but the crowd was very well behaved despite the crowding, long lines and disorganization. Arrived the afternoon of July 20, one of the hottest days of the year. ![]()
